Temporary residence permit EU Blue Card

A foreigner staying on the territory of the Republic of Poland based on the EU Blue Card shall, within 15 working days, notify in writing of the loss of work to the voivod who granted this permit Department of Civil Affairs and Foreigners at the Voivodship Office.

If the foreigner complies with this obligation, the temporary residence permit will not be revoked if:

the period of the foreigner being unemployed did not exceed 3 months during the period of validity of this permit, and;

the period of the foreigner being unemployed occurred no more than 2 times during the period of validity of the permit.

It is your responsibility to inform Wojewoda who issued your permit that you are no longer working within 15 days of losing your employment.

If you want to work for another employer, you must submit a new temporary residence application or an application for change. If you do not submit a new application or an application for amendment, we will start the procedure to revoke your permit because the purpose of stay you declared when you submitted your temporary residence application has ceased. If you fail to do so, we may refuse to grant you a further temporary residence permit.

The right to flexibly change the terms and conditions of employment is not perpetual and is only granted during the period of validity of the specific permit, and once another EU Blue Card is obtained, this period counts anew.

You shall submit your application for a residence permit for an occupation requiring higher professional qualifications in person, no later than on the last day of your legal stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland.If you are unable to appear in person, send your application by post.

The date of postage at the post office counts for compliance with the deadline for legal residence.

If you submit your application within the deadline and there are no formal defects in it, or you complete the formal defects within the deadline indicated by us, your stay will be legal from the date of submission of your application until the date on which the decision concerning this matter becomes final.

If you request a suspension of the proceedings on the granting of a temporary residence permit, your stay will not be considered legal during this period. The stamp duty for issuing a new temporary residence permit – EU Blue Card is PLN 440.00
